AfterThe Mask
The face we show. The truth we carry.
We all learn to present a version of ourselves to the world. We arrange our expressions, conceal our fears and carry the weight of being who others expect us to be. But there are moments when that performance slips, when the eyes, a gesture or a fraction of silence reveal something more truthful than the face we intended to show.
After the Mask is about those moments of exposure. It is an exploration of the tension between appearance and inner life, and of the vulnerability that makes us recognisably human.
Contains artistic nudity and emotionally intense imagery.
The Face We Give
We become so practised at being seen that we forget how to be known.
The Performance
What the Body Remembers
The body remembers what the mouth learns to keep quiet.
The Things We Cannot Say
There are silences that say more than the words we were afraid to use.
What Remains
What remains when there is nothing left to perform?
