Ibrox
Ibrox Circuit
In the shadows of the stadium of the most successful football team in the world stood a housing estate which is long gone.
While studying for my Diploma in Photography an assignment was set to show Urban Decay. With approx 90% of the homes empty and the residents moved elsewhere demolition work had already started.
I recently posted these photographs on a Facebook group page, Lost Glasgow, the memories, the stories of a fantastic place to live.
Lock The Gate
Lock the Gate
Spotted on a rock near a farm, a pink neon sign for all to see and for all to follow.
The lock, the gate,
a promise of protection
From a world beyond,
Unknown and uncertain
A safeguard for our own self reflection
A place of peace and security,
Lock the gate.
Westend In The Rain
Westend in the Rain
This was the first outing of my return to film, newly aquired Pentax Program A in hand and where else would you challenge yourself with in the pouring rain? A wander down Byres Road on a wet October evening, Ruthven Lane, Ashton Lane and you cant go to Byres Road with out nipping into the University Cafe for a bite to eat.
First Spool in Decades
Pentax – First Spool
The first roll of film in over 30 years. After picking up the Pentax I wanted to make sure the camera worked as it should and I worked as I should. All in all, not a bad set of results. Maybe some work on my side needed.
An evening with Anna
An Evening With Anna
An evening with Anna came about over a coffee and some chat while on a previous shoot. We both wanted to do something different, non portrait or make up or fashion related. This is a small selection recovered from a damaged hard drive.
A fragment of time that now barely exists, only a few fractions of a second remain of that evening to tell the story.
Shawbridge St
Shawbridge St
8th Floor, 215 Shawbridge St. An address that holds great memories. A small collection of photographs taken just prior to the demolition of the high flats in this section of Shawbridge St. I was fortunate enough to gain access and get the lift up to the 8th floor, recalling years of memories, the sound of the lift, the smell from the rubbish chute.
